Step 2 — Matched With a Specialist Solicitor

Step 3 — Your Solicitor Takes Over

From this point, your solicitor handles everything on your behalf. They will gather evidence, correspond with the defendant, arrange medical assessments, and negotiate your settlement. You simply need to keep them informed of any new developments and attend any medical appointments they arrange.

Step 4 — Compensation Paid

Once your claim is settled, your compensation will be paid directly to you. Your solicitor's success fee (capped at 25% of your damages) will be deducted at this stage. In many cases, the defendant's insurer also pays your solicitor's base costs, meaning your compensation is largely unaffected.
